airsounds005 chilled: Bali Denpasar - Ngurah Rai DPS

After some upbeat tunes and mixes it's time to get chilled with a warm, positive, yet melodic compilation. I visited Bali last autumn for a holiday and it lived up to my expectations so much. As soon as I stepped out from the plane on Bali's airport in Denpasar I instantly felt relaxed even if it was a 22 hours flight on Cathay Pacific. Bali is the island of gods with rocky mountains, long beaches, unbelivable colors, clear skies and the happiest people on Earth. I never experienced people in any other country with such powerty, but in the meantime, even if the are earning 50 dollars per month they are the happiest persons in the world. What maters to them is the love of family, the religion and music in every possible way. To be honest I've had the best holiday on this little island and felt inner peace somehow while walking on the beach every day. That's why I made this airsound compilation for a chilled one with my favourite down-tempo songs. You can find some little gems in this mix, like Hooverphonic's "Inhaler" (best down-tempo song ever!), Esthero's "Song for Holly", Placebo's Kate Bush remake and Blue Tribe's "Summer's Gone" anthem which was a signature song to my trip. airsounds004: New York - John F. Kennedy JFK

My experience with New York started in 2000 when I was travelling through on JFK on my way to Miami. I returned to NYC in 2005 and have been there 5 times since. Words really can not describe what I'm feeling towards this city. First I felt it is going to eat me up, because of the huge buildings, streets, cars and the amount of people from all around the world. Couple days later I started to act like a real newyorker and still doing it about 5 minutes later I'm landing on JFK airport. New York is definately not America. New York stands on its own. Home of many cultures, home for rich and poor people and truly the capital of the world. I never felt anywhere on the world like I felt in New York. It was like to be in everywhere on the Earth in the same time. So many things happened to me there and I really don't know what to point out the best. The amazing shops on 5th Avenue? The vibrant nightlife in Chelsea and East Village? Or the beauty of Central Park on a Sunday afternoon? No, New York is more than that. It is a lost haven for people who pushing themselves to the limits in every aspect. My NYC mix about New York's biggest airport JFK is a reflect to the city special hard vibe. Lots of tribal stuff here with highlights from Suzanne Palmer and Holmes Yves. These songs always remind me my glory days in the big apple. JFK airport - I salute you and miss you...

airsounds003: Milan Malpenza MXP

Sorry guys, it took more than I expected to finish my new mixes. I have been working a lot and also travelled a lot recently so it was hard to find a gap in my schedule to put together another mix. This recent mix takes us to Milan biggest airport "Malpenza" which is located around 50 kilometres from the citycenter of Milan. One of the most important hub for Italy's national carrier Alitalia, this airport amazes visitors with high-street brand shopping stores, proper connections and rated as one of the most important airport when it comes to loosing passenger's baggages (they also lost mine a year ago) So be careful.
Anyway, Milan is great, fashion capital for the world, lots of nice hotels, clubs and restaurants, so this mix reflects to my journey into this nice city. The mix currently having funky house, soul and some latin house elements, also features some deep and trance roots as well. My fave songs on it are Gus Gus' "Desire" and Faithless' "Music Matters" which can be heard here in an exclusive remix by Pete Heller. My mixes always try to capture the vibe of the current airport and city, so Milan's mix is also gravitates like a journey into ur ears. Oh and there's always a light after darkness, so this compilation evolves into an euphoric anthem by Nature Wakes (which was one of my biggest fave recently) to keep u in a good mood while leaving Malpenza, the fashion runways, the shops and the precious amount of ur credit card on Via Manzoni...:) Enjoy Milan and la dolce vita!

airsounds002: Los Angeles LAX

After releasing airsounds001 mix "LHR", we are moving forward across the atlantic and stopping by in the city of angels. Los Angeles' huuuuge airport "LAX" is truly a multicultural hub for travellers. I visited LAX in last May while I was there with my A/B friends for the annual E3 gameshow. To be honest LA was a bit dissapointment for me. Too long streets, too big city which actually looks like a huge village. Kodak Theater and Sunset Boulvard looked like a cheap decoration comparing what we saw in the movies. On the other side LAX airport made a nice impact on me, so I decided to name the 2nd airsounds mix after it. The landmark control tower and the LAX statue (pictured on the front cover of the CD) near to the terminal always bring nice memories to me. The mix is an eclectic compilation of house and electro tracks and finishes with Robbie William's latest single "She's Madonna". Mr. Willimas just moved to LA recently, so I think this idea fits here very well. Other highlights include the 2007 version of K-Klass' classic tune "Rhythm Is Mystery", DT8's "Hold Me Till The End" (nice shaggy tune for girls), but the biggest killer tune is Houzecrushers' "Touch Me" which features fantastic samples from JX's "Son Of A Gun". Enjoy "LAX" compilation and do yourself a favour: don't go out much from the terminal building while you are happening to be in LA. You will save a dissapointment for yourself...

airsounds001: London Heathrow LHR

My first ever published mix is dated back to last year when I made this uplifting mix with lots of classy and stylish vocal house tunes for my girls at IM. The mix also captures the essence of London's Heathrow Airport. Already operating with 4 terminals (the 5th is soon to be opened up), and coping with more than 90 million visitors per year - this airbay is clearly one of the best in the world. Home base for British Airways and the OneWorld alliance airlines, arriving to or deprating from Heathrow always melts my heart in no time. I lost count how many times I have travelled through this airport, but it's always a pleasure to see the gates, checking out the wonderful shops and inspecting the huge aircrafts near to the runway from all around the world.

The mix is like a journey. It kicks off with a killer dance tune from ATFC and then continues with some of the best vocal and funky house anthems from 2006. Finally it climaxes in some very melodic, dramatic and uplifting dance songs like Ben Onono and Gangaster at the end.
Enjoy your journey at Heathrow.

This is my 2nd blog. I started blogging about a half year ago and I'm really enjoying it. My original blog written in Hungarian but my new blog would like to step up into the international scene, so I decided to write it in English.

This blog is all about my music and mixes. Beside my awesome job, music was always one of the most important things in my life. I wanted to be a DJ, but I had to give up because of my ever challenging work, and focusing more on my long-term goals in magazine and electronic media publishing. I still miss DJing sometimes, so I decided to publish and share my mixes on the net. I am really into house, deep-house and electro stuffs, so my mixes mainly focusing on those genres.

If you read my other blog, you may have noticed that I am also a fan of airlines, airports and everything related to the aviation industry. Being a frequent traveller and a fanatic for airports I decided to name each of my mixes after an airport I visited and inspired in the past. Hope you will like my music as much as I enjoyed creating them for myself and for you as well. The 3 letter codes in the file names and titles are reflect to the aiport's IATA codes like LHR (Heathrow), BUD (Budapest Ferihegy) or SXF (Berlin Schonefeld).
You can easily download my mixes if u r right clicking on the links provided and then click on "save target as" or "save link as" commands in your browser. My mixes are also iPod and iTunes friendly, so maybe you can load them onto your iPod to listen them on the go. Maybe even at an airport while ur waiting for take off...
